Kimpton Quinta da Marinha hotel

The 5* Kimpton Quinta da Marinha sits between the Sintra hills and the Atlantic on the Cascais coast, just west of Lisbon. It’s one of Portugal’s best-known resorts, with its own championship course right outside the door.

The golf

The Quinta da Marinha course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr and opened in 1984. It’s a par 71 that winds through umbrella pines and rolling ground, with sea views, Atlantic breezes and water in play, and the par 4 3rd is its signature hole. Other great Lisbon coast courses, including Oitavos Dunes, Penha Longa and Estoril, are only a short drive away.

The hotel

There are 194 rooms, including 10 suites, plus 44 villas, all with modern comforts. There’s a choice of restaurants and bars, and a health club with sauna, Turkish bath and a heated indoor pool. Our winter packages include breakfast, unlimited range balls on golf days and a farewell dinner.

Getting there

Lisbon airport is around 35–40 minutes away. The beaches and restaurants of Cascais are just down the road, and Sintra is an easy day trip.
