Golf Course in Costa Blanca
La Marquesa Golf is in Ciudad Quesada on the southern Costa Blanca, in a flat valley sheltered by the mountains with its own mild microclimate. It’s a relaxed, mature course designed for golfers of every level.
The course
Designed by Justo Quesada and opened in 1989, La Marquesa has wide fairways, gentle terrain that’s easy to walk, and more than 3,000 palm trees. It also has two talking points: a replica of the famous island-green 17th at TPC Sawgrass, and what the club describes as the first par 6 built in Spain.
There are plenty of bunkers and four water hazards, three of which can make a real difference to your score. The fairways are flat and fairly forgiving, so the greens are the main challenge. They are large and easy to see, but have strong slopes.
